This year we are ahead of the curve. Taking advantage of a few dry days, we have managed to remove crops that have finished, weed, mulch and cover the beds in preparation for the spring.
The brassicas all had club root this year (NOT good)! So this bed, we are going to make into a new soft fruit area and eventually cage it. The area is all weeded now, and is covered. Some new rooted black currant cuttings have been planted, and this will be followed by newly purchased Raspberry canes.
The current soft fruit area is going to be dug up and next year will be used for brassicas and potatoes.
